According to a study conducted by the Happiness Research Institute in Denmark, a greater number of people that quit using Facebook reported feeling happy compared to those that continued using it.
Other positive side-effects reported by those who stopped using Facebook were:
- Feeling more enthusiastic
- Feeling less lonely
- Being less worried
- Being more decisive
- Being able to concentrate better
- Able to spend more face time with friends and family
